“It seems downright stupid to have spent a lifetime getting things wrong, figuring out what works, seeing the light, then having to damn well retire just when it’s all making sense!” Dick Frost
This thought was the catalyst that created FBI Solutions, a specialist Consultancy set up by Dick Frost in 2010 after he retired as CEO of Leighs Paints, now part of the giant American Sherwin Williams’ company.
“Frost Business Improvement” (FBI) was the start of Dick’s next great adventure as he decided to change from business leader to teacher, mentor and keynote speaker and technical advisor, to share his knowledge of what does or doesn’t work (solutions) with others, so "FBI Solutions" was born.
Dick’s simple goal is to help others reach their full potential by sharing this hard won, practical experience and knowledge so they find effective solutions to their own business or technical challenges.
Dick and his network provide unique professional expertise to help boost business performance and bottom line in two fields:
Market surveys, applicator training, improving application and transfer efficiency as well as dispute resolution and inspection. Dick is a NACE Level 3 Coatings Inspector, Member of ICorr and SSPC, and both a tutor and examiner for Corrodere.
Helping companies in trouble get back to profit, ensuring they have clarity of vision, strategy and prioritised goals, as well as switched on employees. Dick is an accredited Franklin Covey trainer.
Dick is a time served mechanical engineer, business manager and director having a lifetime of successful experience working at the coal face in both service and manufacturing industries. He is not an academic.
Described by Prof John Oliver, former CEO of Leyland Truck and author of “The Team Enterprise Solution” as “having the zeal to overcome long standing inertia and energise an entire company”, Dick is still a hyper-active, enthusiastic student of best business practice with an irrepressible sense of humour and belief that everything is possible.
Dick was much influenced by Steven Covey and Jim Collins, author of “Good to Great” with whom he trained and worked in Boulder, Colorado. Dr Collins kindly acknowledged Dick’s contribution in his two latest books, “How the Mighty Fall” and “Great by Choice”.
Today, the loves of Dick’s professional life are training, teaching and coaching others. Dick is accredited by Franklin Covey and Growth Accelerator, as well as being a NACE Instructor, CIP Level 3 inspector and member of NACE, SSPC and ICorr.
